Peg-leg Pirate Statue Terry Park has been closed since I first started college over 10 years ago. As you drive past you can see the Pirate and the remains of fiberglass farm animals, wild life and waterslides. [Tatyana Jula, 04/29/2010]
Peg-leg Pirate Statue Large fiberglass sculpture of a peg-legged pirate with a nice eye-patch. He's holding a cutlass over his head. Stands in front of the Terry Hill Waterpark. He's wearing a purple suit and jaunty red vest.
According to the web site, the water park features two 3-1/2 story fiberglass "Pirate Slides," so this guy must be the mascot. A bit odd to see a pirate 80 miles from the ocean, but it does perk up the roadside. [Wondermachine, 11/12/2008]
