The warehouse of For Bare Feet suffered a tragic fire in 2011. The company is currently looking for a new location to rebuild, including relocating their offices and factory. The plan is to reopen a new facility, possibly in nearby Martinsville, in 2012.
[Eric Bolstridge, 12/23/2011]Bare Feet Inc runs the largest sock factory in US -- makes all of the NBA, NFL and other sports teams socks as well as regular socks. The tour is only given on Tues at 1 pm. Very interesting story behind the beginning of this factory. Tour shows the beginning of the sock to the end, including tagging and bagging.
Well worth a detour and you get a free pair of socks after the tour.
