Humerus Osteopathic Statue A little known bronze sculpture of Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, M.D. resides in a small well groomed bricked courtyard next to the Kansas Osteopathic Association building in Topeka. The serious well groomed doctor is posed holding a Humerus bone in his right hand. The statue honors his founding the "wellness" philosophy of Osteopathic medicine in 1874. Doctor Still developed a holistic approach to the prevention and diagnosis of disease and injury by treating the entire body's bones, muscles, nerves and organs.
