Dexter, Michigan: Strange Sculpture: Procession to Hell (Gone)
A line of 16 crumbling fiberglass humanoids, of gradually diminishing size, stood on an otherwise normal field of grass. "La Raza" by Ronald Farrington Sharp stood for 30 years, and underwent various odd modifications, but was removed in April 2021.

Strange Sculpture - Procession to Hell
Interesting statue, can't help but be curious about its origins.
[NicholausLee, 10/16/2010]The statues are arranged pointing to a small cemetery in the wooded area next to the largest one. Made of what looks like fiberglass, they encountered damage several years ago as vandals or a car accident knocked them over. They now stand righted, but remain damaged.
[Dave, 01/21/2010]Strange Sculpture - Procession to Hell
My family and I decided to take the scenic route through Dexter on our way to Hell, Michigan. While driving we saw this strange sculpture on the side of the road. It looks to be several formless people marching in a line into the woods. These "people" go from smallest to largest. There is no placard to say what it is for, why it is there or what it is called.
It is on the northwest corner of property apparently belonging to a company called Mager. They were closed so there was no one there to ask about it. We nicknamed it the "Procession to Hell" in honor of our trip to Hell, Michigan.
