USA Field Looking East from Rt. 54A between Penn Yan and Branchport, it's hard to miss it. In the midst of miles of farmland, the giant letters U S A are written into the landscape. Searching the internet, I can find nothing about the history of this field, leading me to believe that it is simply the creation of a very patriotic farmer, with a little extra time on his hands. It has been there for as long as I can remember (20+) years, and has been well maintained for that entire time. Definitely worth a drive-by if you are in this scenic area.
