- Wahkpa Chu'gn Buffalo Jump. West edge of town. Take US Hwy 2/1st St. W. to the Holiday Village shopping center. Drive east from the shopping center, then take the first turn left (north) and then turn left again and drive back west along the train tracks. The entrance to the Jump site will be straight ahead as the road veers sharply right to cross the train tracks.

The Wahkpa Chu'gn buffalo jump is an ancient Native American kill site dating back 2,000 years. It is a non-sterile archaeological dig that allows viewers to get up close to history, even allowing them to handle certain artifacts. It is very unique and incredibly educational.

Several exhibit houses on the kill site show layers of accumulated buffalo bones. There are tipis and mannequins on the site. According to the attraction's literature: "Visitors are given an opportunity to try their hand in 'killing' a mock buffalo" silhouette using a spear-like weapon called an atlatl.
