Pueblo, Colorado: MLK Statue With Big Head
Sculpted in 1976, MLK wears flowing robes and walks with Emmett Till, another Civil Rights martyr. Artist Ed Rose wasn't paid for years because MLK supporters said MLK's head was too big. Ed argued that MLK had a big head, and eventually had to sue to get his money. Stood in Denver until 2002 when it was replaced by a new MLK statue. Now in its third location, second in Pueblo.

This is really funny. The head is so disproportionate to the body that one of my friends said, "What is that ogre doing to that kid?" as we approached the statue.
