Cave City, Kentucky: Giant Knight Statue (Gone)
A towering metal medieval knight stands without apparent purpose along the road to Mammoth Cave. Used to be part of a souvenir shop guarded by three knights.

- I-65 exit 53, then drive west on Hwy 70/Mammoth Cave Rd. On the north side, just east of Jenny Rd.
- Hours:
- Shop looked closed Sept. 2014.

The knight is dead... the property is now private.

The statue is now headless. No longer an operating business, but there is still a spot to pull off, even with the gates up.

The knight -- formerly an attraction for a souvenir shop -- was abandoned when the shop closed, lost his head in the Spring of 2017, and the photo Eric sent to us shows a pile of armor rubble. But he looked great in his glory days!
