SkyWheel Myrtle Beach I'm scared of heights so I can't tell you about the view from up in the SkyWheel, but it looks good from the beach.
[Jessica Hilvitz, 08/07/2012]
SkyWheel Myrtle Beach A giant ferris wheel, the "London Eye," was built in England as part of its Year 2000 celebration. Its continuing success prompted several U.S. cities to plan similar Big Wheels -- Myrtle Beach is the first to actually build one. "SkyWheel" is almost 19 stories tall, with 42 air-conditioned gondolas and no lap bars. The wheel, which cost a reported $12 million, is covered with a million color-sequenced LEDs that create light shows after dark. All the shape-shifting lights and dizzying heights might be too much, so every gondola has laid-back Classic Rock piped into it.
