Last Stoplight on I-90
After reading about the last stoplight on I-90 lying in state in a coffin, I had to see it for myself. It's still there in its coffin in the Wallace Mining Museum. The photo is of me "breaking down" as I pay my final respects to the fallen traffic hero. The museum itself is very interesting as well, as it gives the visitor a brief history of Wallace and its mining heritage (there's a short 20 minute film about this that plays in a little "theater" not far from where the stoplight lies in state). The man who running the place was very friendly, and found it amusing that I heard about the stoplight on a roadside attractions webpage!

The Museum also displays the one billionth ounce of silver taken out of the local mines (in 1985). But it doesn't get anywhere near the attention of the stoplight.
