Erected in 2001, the 54-foot-tall replica of "Delicate Arch" serves as 3-D signage for an amusement center.

The ersatz arch is a fitting addition to a town filled with avid straddlers of the Artificial and the Natural ... metropolitan culture and comforts, but oh-so-close to the Great Outdoors. In the Utah wilds, park rangers and environmentalists panic if a tourist makes a loud noise near the real "Delicate Arch." But Boondock's sturdy bit of American engineering can likely withstand a head-on SUV collision.
