Detroit Point of Origin. Detroit's Point of Origin

The point of origin for the layout of Detroit's streets is in Campius Martius Park in downtown. Every city has to have a plan for how the streets will be laid out, and this is where Detroit's began. A marker in the sidewalk shows the exact point where it all began for Detroit.
