Clermont, Florida - Citrus Tower The Citrus Tower has been around since the
fifties. My mom remembers going up in it when she was a little
girl and it was surrounded by groves and groves of orange trees.
Now it's surrounded by neighborhoods and grove graveyards, but the
view is still fun to see. There is a penny drop at the top where
you put coins in and they fall all the way to the ground. Before
we left I saw a sign advertising Elvis appearances on Thursday
afternoons! Visit the Wax Presidents Museum next door while
your're at it and eat some good BBQ at Jack Benny's in Minneola. [April, 04/03/2001]
