Two Fighter Jets in the Desert In the town of Gila Bend, just a couple miles
north of The Spaceage Motel, you will find two fighter jets just
sitting by the road behind a wire fence. The entrance sign to
this "facility" stated that it is (was?) the Gila Bend Municipal
Airport but the place honestly looked abandoned to me. The jets make for a nice break in the desert scenery and look fairly well kept. [Greg Brown, 05/13/2001]
