Hill Street Blues Police Station

The building at the corner of Morgan and Maxwell Streets was used as the police station in the opening credit sequence of the Hill Street Blues TV series. Now it's the University of Illinois at Chicago police headquarters.

The 1981-87 TV series was filmed in LA, but set in an every-city ghetto that looked like a number of decaying eastern metropolises. Lots of the B-roll shots were from the Chicago area, and the Maxwell Street Precinct Station House was the exterior for the Hill Street Precinct Station.
