Manatee Park - Cold Snap
If there's a cold snap, this is the place to be! There were so many manatees when I went the 1st time because the weather was quite cold for February in Florida. Second time there was beautiful weather, but I did see a few manatees on a kayaking tour from the park.[Megan, 03/14/2017]
Went there in early March -- lots of manatee! Then went in April -- none! They really do leave when the water warms up. Cool seeing people kayaking when they are there though![Ghandeyd, 05/19/2015]
At Manatee Park, there's a great statue of a Pirate Manatee.[Melanie Olds, 03/09/2015]
Awesome little park, lots of information about manatees, and interactive too. Didn't get to see them this afternoon, but they had been there that morning. Worth the stop to see them. Oh, and I will be back![Julie Holmes, 11/10/2012]
