Odd Thrills of WHY Lou Two

This is a "Must" see in Louisville. I spent 30 minutes just reading the t-shirts! The have all kinds of quirky...fun...and unique merchandise. If you are at the Market Street location you really need to walk down a few feet to "Please and Thank You" for the Best Chocolate Chip Cookie in Louisville.

Odd Thrills of WHY Lou Two

The Feejee Merman made popular by PT Barnum in the 1860s and then Ripleys has swum its way into the hearts of WHY Lou Two. He lives in a terrarium, complete with Venus fly traps!

Colonel Sanders in wax.

Colonel Sanders at WHY Lou Two

Our latest attraction at WHY Lou Two is a wax Colonel Sanders, originally from Wondering Woods in Cave City, KY. A big antique dealer bought a lot of the WW stuff when it went bankrupt and had it in his Not-For-Sale cage in his store (fun fact: the cage is chicken wire). He has been battling health problems and is finally letting go of some of his NFS collection like the Fontaine Ferry funhouse mirror we have.

Harlan is sporting one of his actual suits and ties, per his wife Claudia in Seymour, IN. Those shoes are from my personal Pee-Wee Herman outfit.

The colonel has returned from the grave and he is chillin' in my store!

Funhouse mirror and annoying clown.

Odd Thrills of WHY Lou Two

Funhouse mirror from historic Fontaine Ferry Park, a terrifying animatronic clown similar to the one from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, 25 cent pony rides, a 5 foot wide prize wheel with a winner every time (powered by folk singer Bonnie 'Prince' Billy's flip flop), free popcorn, mascot heads and other collectibles adorn this store.

Word just in that WHY Lou Two acquired a Colonel Sanders wax figure, an artifact from Cave City's defunct Wondering Woods, for their disorienting display.
