Dakota Sand Stone concretions, balanced on eroding sandstone pillars. There are two in this "picnic" area. If you have seen Rock City, you really have to check out this one too!
[Leanne, 08/22/2006]The park is situated out on the grassy plains. The huge mushroom shaped stones are like Lewis Carrol Meets Stonehenge. The rocks were shaped by glaciers and the wind. Cattle munch on buffalo grass nearby. I was married under the largest mushroom in 1976.
