Green River, Utah - Giant Watermelon - At events only

The "worlds largest watermelon" in Green River, Utah cannot be found. We drove up and down the main street of Green River numerous times (It only took about 2 minutes to traverse the entire street) and could not find it. We stopped at a local store and spoke to two older female residents. We were told the melon is now regulated to making public appearances during the annual watermelon days parade in August.
