San Antonio, Texas: Rowdy the Roadrunner

Six feet tall, eleven feet long, up on a pedestal. Made of iron, so it weighs a half-ton. Each of Rowdy's 1,000 feathers was hand-sculpted.

Since 1977, its been the official mascot for the University of Texas at San Antonio sports teams, often appearing in doofy semi-human form rather than like this angry-eyed Greater Roadrunner.
