Prairie Dog Town See the World's Largest Prairie Dog!
[DC, 09/28/2012]
Prairie Dog Town Chatted with the owner, Larry Farmer. He says he and his wife have been running the place for 44 years, and this is likely the last one. If they can't sell it as is, they will be forced to sell to a motel or restaurant. They are not open in the winter, so see it in these next few months while you still can!
The Farmers will also watch your well-behaved pet inside, so he/she does not overheat in your car while you enjoy the sights. Not to be missed.

Prairie Dog Town We stopped after being lured in by the billboards as we drove across the country. The owner was so kind and took time to talk about everything with us before we went out to see the animals. The prairie dogs just run around by your feet and their burrows are everywhere! The animals look very well taken care of, nice clean enclosures, lots of fresh food and water. I would love to come back if I am ever in Kansas again!

Prairie Dog Town - Not Closed! Very excited to see these precious freaks. Sadly they are closed and the Bldg is for sale.
[Lacy, 05/08/2012]PDT typically opens in the summer, and they've had the property and business on the market for years. Hope someone can confirm it's not a seasonal closing. May 20, 2012: Terry Doss confirms: "PDT is open for business still. Genuine tourist trap fun to be had."
