World's Largest Czechoslovakian Egg We were visiting Lucas, Kansas, and had the advantage of speaking with Erica from the World's Largest Collection of the World's Smallest Versions of the World's Largest Things. She let us know that the World's Largest Czechoslovakian Egg was being delivered to Wilson, Kansas, the next morning. Apparently the town has been advertising it for a couple of years. The local art teacher is going to lead the painting effort over the next year.
[Kim Newell, 08/23/2012]Wilson calls itself the "Czech Capital of Kansas." The egg was reportedly in the planning stages for over a decade. It's 22 feet long and 15 feet wide, which makes it the largest egg in the U.S.
In your "world" pages you pass up a notable opportunity: Wilson, the Czech Capital of Kansas. Really. They have signs on the road & everything. We missed it, as we had reservations and had to hurry, but it looks worthwhile.
