Flamingo Gardens
Very nice park, $20 for adults but you can get $4 off coupons from travel brochures or their website. Not sure where the earlier grousing person visits in south Florida but that is reasonable for the amount there is to see. Beautiful champion (aka huge) trees and nice animal exhibits -- though I would say the botanical specimens are what are most interesting! Didn't know trees in Florida could grow that big.
[Jolene, 05/13/2019]$17 per adult to get in, even though it's late in the day. Plus $4 each for the narrated tram ride. Not worth it.
[Paul, 02/01/2011]Flamingo Gardens in Davie, FL, is doubling the fencing around parts of its otter and alligator displays. This follows an incident in which a parent let her 18-month-old daughter get too close to an otter that bit her.
