1964 World's Fair General Foods Arch
This was my first time at Rocky Point since I was a toddler, when they opened it up (non-operational though) for one day so people could say goodbye. In 1996 (I think) was when they auctioned off all the rides. The area was then closed off for years, but opened up a few years ago for people to walk through. Almost all structures are gone, except for the arch and part of the Skyliner.
[Kurt Deion, 06/14/2017]Warwick is the site of one of the few remaining General Foods Arches that greeted visitor at each of the eleven New York World's Fair entrances in 1964-1965. This site used to be an amusement park; the Arch's function at the park seems to be unknown. It has recently been rehabilitated by the state. The land is now a state park.
