Gatorland This is a great trip even for adults! As a non-native of Florida, and my nearest run-in with gators being on the Discovery Channel, this park allowed for a very close and informed tour. Also of note are the many birds --ibis, cranes, swans and even flamingoes! For the older crowd there is a night tour that I didn't take, but seemed worth checking out. [Slumlord, 10/18/2011]
Gatorland Zoo The burned out visitor center at Gatorland is being rebuilt and the famous gator mouth is being refurbished, along with the new entrance. Gatorland Zoo Gatorland Zoo's famous alligator mouth entrance stands forlorn, awaiting a new gift shop. The mouth was preserved when a massive fire burned down the building that was attached to the rear of the mouth. Hopefully they will one day get a new gift shop built.
