Night gators.

Gatorland

The Night Shine tour is WAY underpriced at $19.99! I had an amazing visit tonight with behind the scenes access, a nighttime feeding, and a great tour by our guide George.

Gatorland

This 60+ years old attraction is a must-see for Florida residents and tourists. Clean, relaxed, and nicely updated, it's a great opportunity to see and learn about alligators, crocodiles, and Florida birds and snakes. The zip-line is thrilling and very safely run. There's a splash park and playground for kiddoes. The shows are fun, too.

Gatorland

This is a great trip even for adults! As a non-native of Florida, and my nearest run-in with gators being on the Discovery Channel, this park allowed for a very close and informed tour. Also of note are the many birds --ibis, cranes, swans and even flamingoes! For the older crowd there is a night tour that I didn't take, but seemed worth checking out.

Gatorland

Gatorland is great, but you gotta see the bird sanctuary in May. Call the park for details. The "show" is unbelievable!

Gatorland Zoo

The burned out visitor center at Gatorland is being rebuilt and the famous gator mouth is being refurbished, along with the new entrance. Work was well along at Christmas of 2007 and should be finished sometime in 2008.

May 2008: The gift shop has been rebuilt and reopened. Gatorland's signature Gator Mouth has been restored as well, although just as a photo op. The gift shop has been moved slightly away from the Mouth, perhaps to protect it in case of any future fires.
