Amelia Earhart Monument
A small monument commemorates Amelia Earhart's nonstop transatlantic solo flight in 1932. Earhart lived in the Harrison/Rye area after marrying George Putnam in 1931. The monument sits in a park near the Harrison train station at the corner of Sunnyside Place and Sunnyside Avenue. Parking is available at the train station or along the street.
