Drive only a short way and then make the second left, into the shrine. Mary is all the way in the back.

Eastport, New York - Large Virgin Mary Atop a Large Boulder

My cousin first took me here when I was a kid and now it has become a regular stop on my family's visits to Long Island. There is a Rosary Walk, with bushes instead of beads, a Stations of the Cross trail with life size statue of Jesus and the 18-ft.high statue of Madonna and Child that stands atop a huge boulder. Admission is free. It's a nice quiet place to walk around. [Samantha Ramirez, 07/21/2002]
