Mysterious Moving Ball Tombstone

The McManus grave is marked with a dark gray monument topped by a solid granite ball two feet in diameter. For unexplained reasons, at least twice, the ball has rotated into a new position, snapping off the pin that held it in place. The cemetery superintendent has ruled out human muscle power -- the ball is too high and heavy. If there's a natural explanation, no one has figured it out yet.
