Officially named "Stone Knoll," but everyone calls it Hartleyhenge for its builder, the late John Hartley. He trucked in the stones from Tennessee and didn't mind if people climbed on them.

Hartleyhenge is located on the right of John's Woods Road, just before the first right turn, about 500 feet from the road.

Hartleyhenge! The stones were put in place by local architect and contractor John Hartley, hence the colloquial name. There's a stone at each of the four major compass points, plus a big central stone with a spiral of smaller-to-larger stones coming out from the center. Not sure when this was built -- but a friend showed me this something like fifteen years ago, so it's been around at least that long.
