Visitor Tips and News About Lawn Ornament Capital of America
I am convinced the previous tips are from the owners of this business. This is nothing more than a business that specializes in concrete statutes. I went there thinking I would see some funny gnomes but ended up seeing just unpainted plain concrete statutes. Would not even consider this a roadside attraction.[Randall Sharp, 09/08/2012]
If you need a statue, Krupps is the place to go. . .hundreds of things to see.[Le, 07/30/2011]
Lawn Ornament Capital
Went to Krupp's Novelty Shop (Lawn Ornament Capital of the US) and was surprised at how fun of a stop it was! Located on Corunna Rd just outside of Flint, this is a great place to waste some time away. Had a blast with my friend laughing at the weird statues and decorations and falling in love with some of the strange but unique ones!
I came home with a 3 foot wide painting of sailboats that I found in their indoor collection. They even gave me a discount! I never see many cars at Krupp's, but I think that should change.[Sarah, 03/03/2010]
Over and above the breathtaking quantity and range of concrete yard art, the true comedy gold-mine might lie in the organization which, although utterly meticulous, defies any type of logic or common sense. An entire row of Jesi might rest in between a row of mushrooms or shi tzus or spiders -- but Mary might be half an acre away. Live bunnies jump all over the place while you take in the statuary -- once you venture indoors, be sure to check out the very pricey laminated country music star clocks.[Holly H., 04/06/2003]
Home to an amazing array of gaudy and cheeky concrete treasurers. Purchased a concrete brain and pointing hand. Gave "the finger" to a friend as a gift. Watch out for the live action yellow jackets and the wild/domestic bunnies. Other treasures to cherish, concrete R2D2 and the scratch 'n dent discount area filled with headless dogs and jockeys with broken hands![Emily Opper, 08/24/2002]
