San Marcos, Texas: Ode to Ralph: Mermaid and Mer-Pig
The first statue in the "Mermaid March" community art project, unveiled in 2018, was a mermaid holding a mer-pig: tribute to Ralph the Diving Pig from San Marcos's gone-but-not-forgotten Aquarena Springs, a mermaid-and-pig tourist attraction.

- Visit San Marcos. I-35 exit 204B heading south or 205 heading north. Drive south along the frontage road. Just after you pass a couple of motels and a car lot, you'll come to Riverside Drive. The mermaid statue is just beyond it, between the flagpoles, next to the Tourist Information Center.
