Big Ape There is a big ape on a sign right near where Bragg Blvd crosses onto Fort Bragg. I don't know if I'd describe it as gigantic. I've driven past it for years and I remember it being bigger too. But as I stopped to take a picture I see that it's only about 6 feet tall. The ape's days may be numbered as a new interstate by-pass will be coming through. The store and property are for sale and I hear a McDonald's may be built on this site. So get out and see the ape while you can! [John Reidy, 04/03/2010][RA: It's the loneliest ape in Fayetteville. That statue type is somewhat common and modestly sized, but this monkey's blown-out sign perch is amusing.]
