Monmouth, Maine - Big Chicken Statue The Big Chicken is still strutting his stuff; this has been a Monmouth landmark for at least 40+ years at nearly the same location. It was moved closer to the house some 25 years ago when a high school class took it for a ride, and later someone clipped off his beak (debeaked?) with a chain saw (it has since been rebeaked).
