Prime Meridian Plaza
The Prime Meridian marker in Tallahassee shows where the prime meridian and base line, the source of all land boundaries in the state, were established in 1824. The marker has a metal plaque at the intersection, and features a large map of the state showing all of its counties. There are paths of multi-colored brick going north-south and east-west, which represent the two lines.
