Robot Auto Part Turkey
We don't know if this scrap metal turkey sculpture still sits next to the office entrance at EL&M Auto Recycling (we snapped this photo in 2007). But artist William "Robot Man" Clark still has his creative "found material" works displayed at businesses and along back roads throughout south Jersey.
This particular piece makes us think about sharing with family and friends on Thanksgiving. And that it's especially bad timing for an advanced alien race of metal gobblers to drop from the skies and make first contact.[RoadsideAmerica.com Team, 11/23/2016]
Robot Auto Part Sculptures
I have visited most of the "auto parts sculptures" locations. The "largest dog sculpture" is in front of Caruso's Auto Parts, but it does not look like a dog to me.
The "guard of the fence" I have not located yet.
The three sculptures, "The Drummer", "The Guitar Player", and "The Key Board Player" are now different characters. The Drummer still has a drum. The Key Board Player is now a woman with a baby in a basket in front of her. I don't know what happened to The Guitar Player, but there are several other sculptures at that location.
The collection at E L & M auto parts is gone.[Steve Mc, 09/28/2009]
I am a New Jersey folk artist. I have many sculptures at different locations around southern New Jersey. The largest dog sculpture can be found in front of Caruso's Auto Parts which is located on rt 30 in Hammonton NJ. The guard of the fence is located at Derk's auto parts on rt 322 in Weymouth, NJ. There are three sculptures, The Drummer, The Guitar Player, and The Key Board Player, located on rt 54 in Buena Vista township N.J., and the largest collection is located at E L & M auto parts on Weymouth Rd in Hammonton NJ.[William Clark, 12/15/1998]
