As of April 29, 2016, the ball is gone. Its hut remains, the floor littered with a few stray kernels. Folks at the Noble popcorn factory report there will be a new and bigger ball in August of 2016.[Tom Burkett, 04/30/2016]

Saw the World's largest Popcorn Ball. It was re-made in February 2009. It took 253 volunteers, 12 hours and 40 minutes to make this ball. It took 900 lbs. of popcorn, 2700 lbs of sugar, and 1400 lbs of syrup to make this. According to the sign it weighs 5000 lbs.
