Chattanooga, Tennessee Attractions

Unusual landmarks, museums, roadside attractions, and hidden wonders in Chattanooga and the surrounding area.

Chattanooga has endured as a tourist destination thanks to its proximity to Lookout Mountain, which visitors would ascend even in horse-and-buggy days just for the view. The Incline -- a near-vertical railway -- has made that journey a lot quicker (and more thrilling), while Rock City -- with its bizarre Fairyland Caverns -- has given people more to see than vistas when they get up top. Down below, literally, Ruby Falls and its subterranean waterfall have become more impressive with time, thanks to the installation of high-intensity color-shifting LEDs.
