- At 1st Ave. between Ogden Ave. and W. 31st St. There are exits to 1st Ave. from I-290 and I-55. Signs on 1st Ave. direct you to the Zoo main entrance and parking. The Trachodon stands outdoors, on the northwest side of the zoo, on the northeast side of Indian Lake, visible from the Salt Creek Nature Trail.

Soon after the 1964 NY World's Fair, Sinclair brought their Dinosaur Exhibit to the parking lot of the Shelbyville Road Mall. They had a tent set up with a vending machine that for 25 cents would mold plastic dinosaurs as you watched. I still have mine sitting on a shelf in my family room. Good memories.
