- Directions:
- Northwest edge of the city. Exit TX-335 onto TX-1719/Western St. Turn north, then make first left (no stoplight) onto Cliffside Rd. Drive a half-mile. You'll see the gun on the right, on the northwest corner of Cliffside Rd and Quarry St.
The Cadillac Ranch that I saw in 2022 was amazing. People were being respectful, picking up others' cans as well as disposing of their own. As an artist I've waited my whole life to go there, and I was not disappointed! My brother and I drove cross-country, and went twice. Sunrise before the crowd arrived was the best for amazing photos.

- Directions:
- Just west of the Amarillo city line. I-40 exit 60. Follow the frontage road on the south side of I-40 (old Route 66) east for one mile. Cadillac Ranch will be on the right (south) side; just park your car along the shoulder and enter the pasture through an unlocked gate. Visitors are encouraged; dog friendly.

Water was turned off and it was less than worth a stop in 100 degree heat.

- Directions:
- I-40 exit 70. Drive north and bear right onto S. Buchanan St. The plaza with the ball will be on the right, at the intersection of SE 6th Ave. on the left. There's a parking lot on the right just before you reach the ball.

- No guarantee it's operating when you visit. Local health policies may affect hours and access.
GPS will bring you all the way back around. If you are headed westbound it is faster to just turn back around the way you came. Not as cool as I thought it would be. Nice concept though.

Floating Mesa:- Address:
- Tascosa Rd, Amarillo, TX
- Directions:
- Northwest of the city. I-40 exit 57. Drive north on FM 2381 for six miles. The road splits; bear right toward Amarillo. Go straight through the stop sign and merge onto Tascosa Rd. Look to your right and you'll see the Floating Mesa in the distance.

This is cute. The building has been demolished and the statue moved, so pull further into the parking lot to see it in the statue garden.

- 3701 Plains Blvd, Amarillo, TX
- Directions:
- On the south side of Plains Blvd midway between Pecos and S. Western Sts. Turn south into the Sunset Center Art Galleries parking lot; drive straight in and to the left; you'll see the Guardian in an outdoor courtyard with other statues. Six blocks south of historic Route 66.
