Peru is "Circus Town USA," and the Miami County Museum displays the Bullet-Riddled Skull of Charley the Killer Elephant. But the museum offers other curious items, including a mint condition Fisk Tire Boy statue (Fisk advertised with the yawning, PJ-clad tyke and huge tire in the 1940s and earlier: "Time to Retire."). There's an exhibit area devoted to Cole Porter, featuring his 1955 Fleetwood Cadillac. Bonus: look for "Gentle Giant" Robert Wadlow's overalls and Clyde Beatty's CRB monogrammed bathrobe.
