On Labor Day we went to Amish Country to the Amish Door restaurant, which is a few miles away from the Cuckoo Clock.

I decided to ask our sweet server about the clock. I was so surprised she had an answer for me! She said that 2 weeks ago they were auctioning off all the items in the restaurant part of the building and that someone from Walnut Creek actually bought the clock! She heard it was a cheese place. She was as excited as I was about this and we both hope they can move the clock and get it going for everyone to enjoy. I can finally quit circling that building every time I go down there! Wilmot, Ohio - World's Largest Cuckoo Clock - gone!

I believe it was in the Cleveland Plain Dealer last year that someone had brought the beautiful cuckoo clock down to ground level for everyone to see. We went down 8/09 only to see the restaurant closed up and for sale, and drove around back and saw no evidence of the clock anywhere. I have gone there many times in the past and my grandkids and I were always fascinated. It was truly a treasure to behold. [Barbara Shroka, 09/02/2009]

Wilmot, Ohio - World's Largest Cuckoo Clock

We visited the Cuckoo Clock, to find it had been removed about two months ago from the rear roof of the restaurant to a patio area in the rear of the restaurant. To access it, you must walk through the gift shop to the glass doors entering the patio.

It did play on the hour, but the right arm of the maiden had come off, and needed to be repaired. [Susan Eaton, 10/13/2007]
