Giant Man With Tiny Ice Cream Cone This is not a muffler man, as seen by the photo. It seems to be another one of the Uncle Sam hybrids, although this form may be the original as it resembles the one in New Castle, IN. Still a cool statue though.

Ice Cream Attendant He's at the intersection of State Road 3 and State Road 18, 7 miles north of Hartford City. He's at a restaurant called Tin Lizzie, and is holding an ice cream cone. On either shoulder, he wears a patch on his jacket with a name on it. "Corey" is on his left shoulder, and "Pam Reagon" is on his right. I don't know if this is a well-known type of figure, but I always thought he looked like Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle) with a hunting cap on.

We saw that same style of giant south of Hartford City, in New Castle, in August 2004. They seem to be variations on the lapel-clutching Uncle Sam statue also found around the midwest.
