The Mennonite Information Center was an interesting experience. Two short videos on the life of the Amish and the Mennonites are playing on regular loop at the Center. They also have an interesting recreation of the Biblical Tabernacle, which housed the Ark of the Covenant. The Biblical Tabernacle is pretty neat, well worth the time if you're interested in biblical history. Even has an animatronic Priest Aaron.
[Josh, 05/09/2011]The Ark is called the "Biblical Tabernacle" here. You can only see it as part of an hourly, six-dollar tour, which looks really dull. Of course, it could be really wonderful, too. "Competent guides make your visit an educational experience," according to the post card. Identical in spirit (and price) to a Mennonite Ark in Sugarcreek, OH. The sober Mennonites have staked out turf in jolly Amishland.
