Putting the town of Starbuck and these three features on Roadside America must be someone's idea of a joke. I did a tour of the Great Plains states with 15 pages of over 90 Roadside America sites to see, and this is the only one that left me standing there scratching my head, "I drove out here to see this?!" It is definitely NOT Worth a Detour.
[John & Sinbad the cat, 11/17/2012]The world record lefse was baked during the Starbuck Centennial Celebration in 1983 by a group of Starbuck Lions. The 70 pound lefse had a diameter of 9 feet 8 inches and was baked. Currently, Starbuck holds the Lefse Dagen celebration to commemorate the record setting occasion.

Hobo, Starbuck, and don't forget the Lefse! There is a Starbuck and Hobo in Starbuck, MN. By the Hobo there is some sort of giant cooking pot like you would have over the fire for meals I suppose -- that giant hobo's gotta eat, right? But also not to be missed in Starbuck is the "lefse." Unfortunately, there is no fiberglass commemorative statue, just a giant sign that can be easily missed if not paying attention. In July of 83' apparently they made the World's Largest Piece of Lefse and the sign shows a picture of this process.
