Colorado Springs, Colorado: Dine in a Plane
A full-size airplane, with wing extending into the "normal" restaurant, can be boarded for in-cabin dining. Too bad eating on an airborne plane isn't this much fun.The Airplane Restaurant

Dine in a Plane This was an amazing experience. You literally get to eat inside the plane. The wait staff is awesome and the food is very good! A must do when in Colorado Springs!

Dine in a Plane This was a fun alternative to eating at a chain. The food was mediocre according to the rest of my family, but the Blackened Salmon Ceasar Salad was yummy. The biggest drawback is that the quietness of eating in the airplane restaurant makes for awkward conversation. Perhaps they could pipe in music or something? We could hear the conversation two tables away perfectly and it was annoying. The kids had fun playing in the cockpit.

Dine In A Plane Had good food and a nice time. You don't have to sit in the plane, but why else go if you aren't going to? After lunch and great milk shakes, we sat in the cockpit for a few moments, pretending to fly the plane. It's a must stop for lunch.

Dine in a Plane It was cool to see how the plane is integrated into the restaurant. Seems a bit worn out inside the plane itself. Definitely make reservations so you can eat in the plane. But go for lunch, not dinner -- a bit pricey for the quality.
They encourage you to go explore the cockpit, which is neat.

Dine in a Plane Had dinner in the plane on 10-7-10. Meal was mediocre but the experience was fun. Tip: everyone wants to sit in the plane, but you can make a reservation for inside seating. Beats the seating policy for Southwest airlines!
