Nashville, Tennessee - Billy Graham Statue

Unveiled in December 2006, when Billy was 88, this bronze statue was created by Wyoming pastor Terrell O'Brien and stands on the campus of LifeWay Christian Resources, the publishing arm of the Southern Baptist Convention.

It depicts a much-younger-than-88 Graham, in a three-piece suit (To experience an even younger Graham, you can visit the street corner where he began.) Nashville's Graham is of Goliathlike proportions, standing 9 feet, 4 inches tall, with outstretched arms and a Bible in one hand, next to a 17-foot-tall cross. At the foot of the cross are three nails and a stone inscribed with the favorite born-again shorthand, "John 3:16." [RoadsideAmerica.com Team, 06/01/2007]
