- On a river island just north of town. Take Broadway St. north, the lower bridge parallel to Hwy 33/Sunnyside Drive, and after crossing river turn right under Rt. 33. Fort will be on left, statue on right.

Standing tall since the nation's Bicentennial in 1976, the big fiberglass lake country explorer was made by F.A.S.T. Corp..

This is definitely still there, I visited it August of 2009. It is along the river and I think north of Veterans Park. There is also a replica fort nearby.[Jack Steck, 09/03/2009]

Doesn't look like the kind of statue that would be moved capriciously or easily destroyed. Anyone else seen the Voyageur, uh, voyaging?
