Burlington, Vermont - Toth Indian - Chief Grey Lock Forty-seventh of fifty "Whispering Giant" statues by sculptor Peter Wolf Toth, who created such a statue in each state to heighten the nation's appreciation for its Native-American citizens.
Sculpted from a single red oak tree, on a base of native red sandstone. Dedicated July 22, 1984, in Burlington's Battery Park. [Matt Wills, 09/11/2009]
