The sculptures are diverse and pretty cool. They are also aimed at kids and are very hands-on. All sculptures are outdoors. But what we loved the most was the funky, artistic, colorful playground. Worth checking out!

Franconia Sculpture Park This place has HUGE, wacky, incredible sculptures sited throughout their gorgeous yet rural park. There were artists working in the outdoor studio to talk with - they were from all over the place, London, NYC, LA and Minneapolis. We spent hours roaming the park and looking at art. We have now been back twice and the artwork was different each time. The best part is it's freeeeee!

Franconia Sculpture Park From the highway you see some of the sculptures. Many are huge, made with various mediums such as metal, wood, cement, hoses, etc. At the time we visited there were at least 50 sculptures and plenty of room for more. We spent at least an hour walking around and admiring them.

Franconia Sculpture Park opened in 1996. Artists love it because it accepts sculptures that are really big and made out of pretty much anything, as long as it's sturdy and weatherproof.
